About Us:
Founded in 1910 by William H. Nobman and his father Frederick R. Nobman, Nobman’s Hardware has served Oyster Bay and the surrounding communities for more than 100 years, and has spanned five generations of the Nobman family.
Nobman’s Hardware Emporium is a full service hardware, home furnishings and specialty store located in downtown Oyster Bay. Oyster Bay is an historic center on the North Shore of Long Island with history dating as far back as the pre-colonial era.
Known for its central location on Long Island’s Gold Coast, Oyster Bay is made famous as the residence of former United States president Theodore Roosevelt, and as a stopping ground for General George Washington during the Revolutionary War.
Nobman’s Hardware is imbued with this sense of history, and to the residents of the area, Nobman’s remains a source of continuity throughout the generations.
